Everybody knows that we need a visa to visit other country. Here I want to share my experience in applying e-Visa to India.
Visitors to India can either apply for a regular visa or an e-Visa. The e-Visa is free but it's valid for a shorter duration. e-Visa has 5 sub-categories :
You must apply e-Visa based on your purpose of visitting India. You can apply e-Visa minimum 4 days in advance of the date of arrival with a window of 120 days.
I applied e-tourist visa on 5 Nov 2018, and that also in afternoon and on 7 Nov 2018 is Diwali session so I was thinking that I might not get the e-Visa. But right on the 7 November 2018 at 7.30 pm (Indonesia time) I got an email that my e-Visa is granted. OMG, I was so happy. Here I amaze to Indian government, that even on Diwali/ their big day also they still proceed my e-Visa.

For applying e-Visa, you can click here and click on e-Visa Application this is the official website.
After that, you just need to fill in all the form with all your personal ID and information such as Passport Type, Nationality, Port of Arrival, Date of Birth, Email ID, etc. They also will ask where will you stay and if you have any reference in India.
When you finish filling all the column, at the end, they will ask you to upload your passport in pdf format, and your pict with white background. Actually, they will tell you what kind of format and details they need before you upload, so make sure that you do as what they have written in the website.
When you are done, you will receive an email that your application has been received and you will get a registration number. The number is needed if you want to check your application status in website.
You will get an email once your request is granted. Then click here and click on Visa Status to see your e-Visa status. If your e-Visa is granted, print your e-Visa and you are ready to fly to India.
