Normally I am a sleepy head person who love to sleep and can sleep anywhere but there are some day on which you see some nightmares or bad dreams and feel stuck. It happens to me sometimes. So, one night I was sleeping in my room with my roommate. As usual I was sleeping nicely, then don’t remember how I reached in those weird worlds of ghost and nightmare, which we don’t understand, may be a thought, maybe something I was discussing with someone long back, maybe something I saw on TV or a movie. All I can remember it was really scary. I was afraid, scared like I saw some ghost in real some of you say it’s just thoughts. 

That night I was really scared, even today I can recollect clearly because of that dream, I was unable to move my body, I was screaming but no voice was coming out, I was trying hard to do something but was really feeling helpless and stuck. All I could do was just to scream in my brain, trying to call someone to help me, save me. But no voice was coming, maybe I said something but not sure if anyone understood. After sometime when I finally came to senses from the dream I was feeling lost. Not sure what to do. 

I was unable to sleep again that day, I didn’t want to sleep, was afraid may be will see the same dream, someone will come. I was lying on my bed think about that dream and don’t realized when my eyes became heavy again and I felled to sleep. I saw it again I was stuck and helpless, screaming, trying, asking for help. And it happened so many times, sleeping, dreaming, repeated again and again in the same night. I was afraid to sleep. 

Someone from my village recommended something I started trying that whenever I use to get nightmare it helped me, hope it helps someone else too somewhere. Here are my simple step when I get nightmare:

  1. Change the face of the pillow – I did this when I get nightmare. Well it may sound silly at first but it works, may be it focuses you energy and thoughts somewhere else.
  2. Change the side of your sleep, turn to other side.
  3. Avoid keeping hands on your chest while sleeping. Some people say it’s a superstition but I encountered many people like me having nightmares while sleeping keeping hands on there chest.
  4. Drink some water, wish good things, talk good and try to feel good before.

Here is my behind story, hope it helps someone somewhere like me.
